Every Kuhn Rikon Duromatic pressure cooker is made from an 18/10 Stainless steel, with aluminum bottom core for even browning and fast warm up. The pressure valve is built in, rather than a separate (old-fashioned) style. When not as a pressure cooker, it can be used like a regular pot, and is an excellent conductor of heat. It works on all cooking surfaces – gas, electric, ceramic and induction surfaces. The pot (but not the lid) is dishwasher safe.
